Not only has it been honored by Ski Magazine as the #1 Ski Area in the East for Value, #2 for Scenery and #3 for Access and Terrain/Challenge," it's one of the East's most challenging mountains, with a hefty vertical drop of 2,146 feet. It's all about variety at Cannon, with 23 miles of trails spread across 264 skiable acres of terrain. A winter bonanza for skiers and snowboarders of all levels and a great place to get back to what's natural.
In the heart of Franconia Notch, the mountain boasts nine lifts, including a 70-passenger aerial tramway offering magnificent views of the White Mountains' Presidential Range for as far as the eye can see. Seventy-two trails and glades.
Cannon specializes in kids, with three distinct programs designed for all ages and abilities, from lessons and rental equipment for Cannon Tykes (ages 3-4) on the gentle Brookside Slopes, to Cannon Kids (ages 4-7) and Mountain Explorers for those 8-12.There's a special Kids' Terrain Park, Kids' Camps, Snowsports School and extra-fun Saturday events.

In the Warmer Months... Explore the top of the world with a ride on Cannon Mountain's Aerial Tramway, hike historic trails to the Basin and Flume Gorge, enjoy miles of picturesque bike trails, or cool off in glacially formed Echo Lake.
Small group tours of Franconia Notch State Park can be arranged through the resort's front desk and concierge staff.
The tram runs daily through the summer and fall until late October, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
